This what we get as an answer from the Millenials and GenZ. This is the loyal lot of the country which believes that we, as a country should always stand united and secular. Analyzing their part of understanding, it is completely rational of them to think so.
We were always taught Patriotism and Unity.
We were always taught Secularism.
Then why do people want a Hindu Rashtra?
Where did this notion come from?
Why are people supporting it?
Why do you want it?
What about our unity and secularism?
Here are the answers and reasons why Hinduism is declining:
1. Conversion to Islam and Christianity
According to Wikipedia multiple states have noticed a decline in the Hindu Population over the past few years.
Manipur:
"The religious conversion of Hindus to Christianity and migration of Christians from Nagalandare considered as the reason for this decrease in Hindu population."
Percentage Fall in the Hindu population:
The year 1991: 57%
The year 2011: 41.4%
West Bengal:
"The percentage of Hindu population in the state has decreased from 78.45% in 1951 to 70.54% in 2011. Another district Murshidabad is also a Muslim majority district where the Muslim population steadily increased from 55.24% in 1951 to 66.27% in 2011."
Percentage Fall in the Hindu population:
The year 1951: 78.45%
The year 2011: 70.54%
Uttar Pradesh:
"The proportion of Hindus in the Saharanpur district was 59.49% in 2001 which went down to 56.74% in 2011– a decline of 2.74%.At the same time the Muslim population shot up from 39.11% in 2001 to 41.95% in 2011.The Deoband tehsil in the Saharanpur district saw a decline in proportion of Hindu population from 70.19% in 2001 to 59.8% in 2011-a decline of 10.39%.On the other hand, the proportion of Muslim population in Deoband went up by 10.68 per cent in 2011 compared to 2001."
Percentage Fall in the Hindu population:
Year 2001: 70.19%
Year 2011: 59.8%
Assam:
"A study on population composition of Assamreveals that the Hindu population in Assam has declined from 70.78 percent in 1951 to 61.47 percent in 2011, whereas in 1891, Muslim Population in Assam was only about 5% and by the 2001 census it had risen to above 30% and now as per the latest census of 2011, it has increased to above 34% of the total Assam population."
Percentage Fall in the Hindu population:
Year 1951: 70.78%
Year 2011: 61.47%
Kerala:
"Kerala—like Assam, West Bengal, and many of the states in the northeast—has seen a drastic change in its religious demography in the Census period, beginning from 1901. The share of Indian Religionists in Kerala, who are almost all Hindus, has declined from nearly 70 percent in 1901 to 55 percent in 2011, marking a loss of 15 percentage points in 11 decades."
Percentage Fall in the Hindu population:
Year 1901: 70%
Year 2011: 55%
2. Growth rate of Islam faster than Hinduism
World:
"The six fastest-growing religions in the world are estimated to beIslam (1.84%), the Baháʼí Faith (1.70%), Sikhism (1.62%), etc. with high birth rates being cited as the major reason."
India:
"Islam is the fastest-growing religion in India.[9] Growth rate of Muslims has been consistently higher than the growth rate of Hindus, ever since the census data of independent India has been available. For example, during the 1991-2001 decade, Muslim growth rate was 29.5% (vs 19.9% for Hindus)."
Even after being a hindu majority country we could not be the fastest growing religion within India itself. On the other hand, high rate of birth in the Muslim community has made it the fastest growing religion in India.
Feels like not everyone is concerned about population growth.
3. Missionaries and Madarsas
The school looked better on Christmas than on Diwali.
Unfortunately, being convent educated, I took some time to realize, how Christian Missionaries work. My school was the cheapest in the locality and best in discipline.
Why do you think was it the cheapest?
Not because of social good, but it was the spread of Christianity that the school aimed at. Schools shape children. We are always judged for our background and core values. Missionaries hit the core of a person and instill religion into it.
We thought it was discipline that our child is learning, while he sung carols.
Madarsas, however, don't directly convert people but definitely make a Muslim strong enough. This is nothing wrong. A religion has the right to teach its followers the correct way of following the religion.
However, this is a reason to worry about because Hindus don't seem very interested in promoting Gurukuls and improving them.
"Every religion is working. They are doing it right. We are wrong because we aren't bothered enough."
4. Western Influence
No culture is wrong or right!
Culture is what belongs to the place. Hindu culture and tradition was always based on factual evidence and benefit. Post colonisation, Indian population has been highly influenced by western culture. It is absolutely sounding absurd to a Millenial or GenZ, but it is true.
It isn't your fault. It is the way in which we have seen things happen and evolve. Electric Guitar was something we found cool, while sitar was boring. Same goes with the tabla and drums. From Mc Donalds to toilet paper, we are wrongly influenced.
A girl is salwar-kameez is a "Behenji"i.e stupid and orthodox, whereas a half-nude girl is a modern person. Modernity does not come from clothes.
Neither is a culture modern nor orthodox!
Read that again.
"Culture is culture."
5. Urge to spread Humanity
The Hindus across India have developed a notion of spreading humanity and leaving religion. Sadly, mostly Hindus are the major ones concerned. It is okay if you want to start yourself first and then make the world change, but remember the religion that has built humanity in you is "Hinduism". Leaving your own religion, thinking that this is the main cause behind religious conflicts is as absurd as boycotting sex as a reason for rape.
This is definitely choice. Make one. But be opportunistic and choose the best one.
Why a Hindu Rashtra?
Leaving you with a thought:
"Even after being the majority in India, we face religious conversions. What will happen if we become a minority?"

The Sanskrit word "Aum" is much more than a word..! I came across such surprising and mind-blowing facts that makes me write. As the Mandukya Upanishad quotes: Meaning: Aum presents the four states of consciousness i.e: Jagrat: The waking state Svapna: The dreaming mind Susupti:The deep sleep Turiya: Pure consciousness It says that Aum is Brahman, which is the whole and Brahman is the "Atman"(We just made it a caste! LOL) So now that we know a little about what the Upanishads say let us dive in the peaceful world of knowledge that Aum brings to us... 1. The science in its Pronunciation We've all heard Aum in most of our mantras, haven't we? So those mantras are not the mere drama as presented by most of the pujaris to us. We've lost half our faith in Hinduism after watching "OMG!''. This is not where Hinduism started rather we turned it to a mess. So the next time you think of Aum be proud of yourself that you know the backgr
"Women needed no empowerment. Empower the weak. Women are strong." We live in a country where atrocities against women are a common affair and the position of women degrades every passing day. With this never-ending need for feminism, let us have a look at the original status of women in ancient Hindu culture. 1. There was NO GHUNGHAT. Ahaaannn!!! My favourite. Ghunghat ko kaise justify karoge bhai? Let us revisit history and understand that the Ghunghat was not started by the Hindu society. After the advent of Mughals in the country, the parda system began. Since the Mughal rulers favoured the parda system, it also prevailed in the rest of the society. Ghunghat is a foreign element that is added without permission to the Hindu culture. ⭐ 2. They had a proper education. The education system established by Hindu culture included both men and women. However, during the gradual advancement of society, it took wrong turns and shapes. Hindu women were not suppressed of their kno
